In 1963, the Danish minister of foreign affairs Per Hækkerup and his Norwegian counterpart Halvard
Lange had a meeting in order to determine the offshore territorial limit between their countries. Hækkerup, infamous for his drinking habit and wild parties at the ministry, ended the negotiations with a border that gave Norway areas where later the first - and largest - offshore oil field on Norwegian territory was discovered. Naturally Hækkerup was believed to be drunk also this time, and was later heavily criticized in Denmark.
I found this meeting to be the historical chaos point where Norway could have lost its oil.
The reconstruction of this meeting is done by seeking out a place of chaos and alcohol joining Denmark and Norway: the passenger ferries between the two countries (the main reason for Norwegians to travel by these ferries is inexpensive alcohol). By traveling with one of these ferries and calculate how long time it would take from harbor to the off-shore territorial limit I was able to produce a photo of the idea of a border depicting nothing but floating sea.
