Reflected in a drop of oil at Galleri Niklas Belenius
I will be participating in the exhibition Reflected in a drop of oil at Galleri Niklas Belenius in Stockholm opening 3rd of June at 5-9pm
The other artists exhibiting include Thora Dolven Balke, Heidi Johansen, Steinar Haga Kristensen, Anders Smebye and Anders Dahl Monsen.
About the exhibition:
Linus Elmes, the director at UKS in Oslo has put together a survey of the youngest and most urgent Norwegian art. It is a depiction of six young artists all on the verge of international breakthrough: By creating self-organised show spaces they have made an impact on the local scene and these artists must be presented as premise-providers with great influence in Norwegian art life. At the same time they posses a strong international presence. Actively exhibited in both obscure project-spaces but also with representation of international galleries they constitute a new powerful generation of Norwegian artists after Gardar Eide Einarsson and Mathias Faldbakken.
The book Reflected in a drop of oil is released in connection with the exhibition and is published in collaboration between Niklas Belenius and Linus Elmes.
